Information for disabled students

Our Disability Team is one of the largest in the UK, with a range of specialist staff members working to assess the needs of disabled students and put individualised packages of support in place.

There are many types of support which we can deliver ourselves in the Disability Team.  Where academic departments or other university services need to make their own adjustments to ensure access for an individual student, we will also work closely with those areas.

If you are studying at Leeds, or thinking of applying to study here, click on one of the links above to see information that is specific to particular groups of disabled students.  Whilst you are here, why not also watch our short video, which features disabled students talking about what it is like to study at Leeds?

The Disability Team also provides advice to University staff members on how to ensure that their courses and services are accessible, and we have produced a range of good practice guidance documents for staff members
